Midjourney v5.2 just came out, and it didn’t disappoint.
It has a new AI feature that allows you to “Zoom Out” of any image. People are using it to create incredible videos.

How to use Midjourney’s Zoom Out feature
It’s incredibly easy to use Midjourney’s Zoom Out feature to create mind-blowing videos like the ones above. Here is a quick tutorial from Alvaro Cintas on how to do it yourself.
Step 1: Create the image
- In Midjourney, you need to be on v5.2. Check it by entering “/settings”
- Select v5.2
- Enter “/imagine” and then enter your prompt.
- When created, Upscale the image that you like the most.
- In your upscaled picture, you can select the level of Zoom that you want (1.5, 2x, or custom). Repeat this process to keep zooming out
Step 2. Create the video
- Download the free app CapCut.
- Select “New Project” and add the Midjourney images. Start from the most zoomed out image and end with the closest one.
- You’ll need to add two key frames at the beginning and end of each image
4. Finally, you will need to go to the end frame of the first picture and zoom in (the same way you zoom in on any picture)
To ensure a smooth transition, you have to make sure when you zoom in that it matches the next image.
Then, repeat the process for all the images and transitions.
