What is Wonderers?
Wonderers is a collective space in Web3. It aims to be a haven where the Web3 community can bond, share their dreams and aspirations, discover themselves and build together the future of the internet. The project aims to do this by providing help and support through grants, free access to premium software’s suits, mentorships from industry experts, access to an exclusive blog, start-up support and much more. Ultimately, it appears that its vision for Wonderers is to mature into a one-stop free-to-access resource hub for its community, which alleviates barriers to dream jobs, careers, start-ups, projects or businesses.
The collection is inspired by the founders own personal struggles of feeling lost and difficulties in finding direction in their own life. Through this heartfelt personal experience, the founder was inspired to create Wonderers NFT collection to help like-minded individuals embark on a journey of self-discovery with the goal of reaching their dreams. To do this, Wonderers aim to provide all of the resources and support as mentioned above.
The art is aesthetically pleasing and it aims to blend together art and utility. The art is the central focus and core of the Wonderers collection with over 250 unique, curated, hand-drawn and hand-painted traits. The color palette is designed to emulate positivity, joy, warmth and optimism.
Roadmap
At present, there is not an official stated roadmap. However, the team does provide some information on the utility that Wonderers will offer.
The team want to provide “Wonderkits” specifically tailored to peoples professions. For example, an NFT trading kit designed for aspiring traders would consist of a grant, free access to premium tools and trading software (e.g. Icy.tools / NFT Nerds), Alpha Sharks and access to alpha groups of their choice.
Similarly, a Wonderkit for aspiring photographers would consist of gear, photography books, a skillshare course, access to premium editing softwares such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop and more.
The focus of its roadmap will be to deliver the utility mentioned above, alongside brand expansion to include merchandise, in real life events, career workshops, giveaways and more.
Team
Unfortunately, there is very little information provided on the team. The team members are not doxxed and details are only provided for 3 members.
Founder
The wanderers claim that its founder is the CEO of an established software development and outsourcing business. He/she is said to have more than 5 years of experience as a leader in tech start-ups, growth, innovation and management.
Co-founder
The co-founder is stated to have more than 20 years of experience in financial management, leadership and human resources in the fashion industry.
Artist
The artist has worked for numerous brands and music artists, specializing in character art and album cover design.
This is the core team that information is provided on. Despite the credentials stated, there are no links to any socials, nor is there any proof.
Analysis
Bullish case
The Wonderers vision and utility stand for a good cause in essence. The fact that the project revolves around helping others to reach their goals and achieve their dreams suggests very pure intentions. This is something we need to see more of in the Web3 space.
The art is clean and easy on the eye. The style is smooth and the color palette is vibrant. It is similar to LonelyPop which is a successful NFT project and the WGMI team thinks that it could be well received by the NFT community.
Despite there only being 15.3k followers on Twitter, engagement and activity are very solid. The majority of its posts are receiving an average of 500-1,000 likes, which suggests that there is a community that is excited about this project. It has managed to align itself with some larger names in the NFT spaces such as Illogics and Takoa for raffle giveaways, which is bullish.
Lastly, the mint price and supply are reasonable. This is something that could attract the attention of many, ultimately leading to a successful mint.
Reservations
Whilst the utility is very wholesome, there may not be enough demand for something like this in the NFT space at present. Even if there is a demand for it, it will be difficult to execute. With 3,000 token holders, there would be a lot of people with different wants, needs, and demands. This is something that Wanderers may not be able to keep up with, especially as the team appears to be so small at face value.
The lack of information or lack of doxxing in the team is also a reason for concern. Traditionally, degens like to bet on founding teams and their ability to execute. This is something that is not possible in this case.
We also have to consider the bearish market sentiment and external market climate. Many projects are failing to mint successfully, and Wonderers may also be at the mercy of the bear market.
