NFT Market Update

Yesterday’s trading volume on OpenSea was up approximately +59.3% from the day before, with approximately $83.4 million worth of trading volume for the day. A trading volume over $70 million signifies strength in the NFT market so such a big pump was encouraging to see after an incredibly slow weekend.

Crypto Update

The cryptocurrency market is still in a slump as the global cryptocurrency market cap continues to plummet and hit new lows for 2022. Bitcoin is down another 4.5% over the last 24 hours at $31,430 and Ether is down 0.15% at $2,378.

BBRC x IVY BOYS

BBRC x IVY BOYS is the genesis project of BBRC Studios and artist, Aaron Chang. The collection has 7,777 utility-enabled NFTs that feature a diversity of Ivy League and sartorially inspired traits. The collection of BBRC x IVY BOYS is a high-profile project with a large following of NFT collectors. Upon selling out of their mint phase, the collection immediately shot up to as high as 0.29 ETH before seeing a steep drop in floor price. The floor price of the BBRC x IVY BOYS collection is currently sitting at 0.148 ETH at the time of writing and the overall trading volume has also dropped significantly. BBRC x IVY BOYS is one of a few collections that have a chance to pump after the reveal phase due to the level of interest this project has been able to generate.

Mindblowon Universe

Mindblowon Project is a collection of 6,969 NFTs created by the team behind @Tahilalats. They publish comic strips on a daily basis on various social media platforms. Mindblowon Universe was a highly anticipated project which began its first mint phase on May 6th, 2022 as a public fair dutch auction that sold out in less than 2 minutes at a starting price of 0.69 ETH. The floor price of this collection began at around 2 ETH. Since then, the floor price of this collection has fallen substantially as it currently sits at 0.35 ETH which is around half of the public dutch auction mint price. Mindblowon is one of those projects (along with IVY BOYS) that has a reasonable chance to pump after the reveal phase which will largely depend on how well the PFPs are received by the NFT community. The more notable NFT collectors, whales, and influencers use the MindBlowon as their profile pics, the more chance this collection will be able to survive this incredibly unpredictable and unforgiving NFT space.
