What if I told you there was a way to automate your Twitter growth? By the end of this article, you’ll be equipped with an automated system that drafts and posts engaging tweets, keeping your audience engaged even when you’re busy.

How do I automate my Twitter growth?
Step 1: Find viral tweets in your niche
- Start by logging into your Twitter account and head to the search bar. You can type any keyword related to your niche, for instance, “tech”, “marketing”, “AI”, etc. To delve deeper into the search, click on the three dots and select ‘Advanced Search’.
- Under “Words”, type your keyword. You can also use exact phrases or hashtags related to your niche. Make sure to choose the language of the tweets you want to consider.
- To filter out unnecessary content, uncheck ‘replies’ and ‘links’.
- To identify viral content, focus on tweets that have a minimum of 100 retweets, 500 likes, and around 10+ replies. You can add these parameters to your search.
- Find around 5 Tweets you like – you’re going to add these to a prompt later.
Step 2: Create a Workflow in Zapier
- Visit the Zapier platform.
- Click the “Create Zap” button. Each app in Zapier functions based on a ‘trigger’ and ‘action’.
- For this project, you’ll use the trigger “Schedule by Zapier”.
- For the ‘Event’, select ‘Every Day’, or however frequently you want to automate your tweets.
- Configure it to operate daily at your preferred time, for instance, at 9:00 PM.
Step 3: Add ChatGPT as an action
- Set up your first action.
- Search for ChatGPT in Zapier and add it ‘action’ app (this will respond to the trigger you set earlier).
- Choose ‘conversation’ as your event. This will prompt ChatGPT to start conversing and generating tweets when triggered.
Step 4: Write your prompt / user message
- Draft a user message or prompt, which will guide ChatGPT in creating a viral tweet. For instance, you could write, “Create a viral tweet like these ones…” and insert examples of the viral tweets you identified in step one.
- Additionally, set the context by specifying the main theme of your Twitter account. Example: “You run a Twitter account that provides tech and AI insights for marketers.”
- Specify tweet details such as maximum character count (250), and the use of popular hashtags relevant to your niche.
Step 5: Set up Memory Key
- The ‘Memory Key’ is an integral part of this process. It ensures that the bot remembers past conversations and doesn’t repeat tweets.
- This can be any word, number, or phrase and will be the identifier for the conversation thread. For example, you can write “twitter_chatgpt”
Step 6: Posting to Twitter
- Lastly, connect your Twitter account to Zapier.
- Choose ‘Twitter’ as your app, and ‘Create a tweet’ as your action.
- Under ‘Action’, you can pick your GPT chat as the ‘Message’ to tweet. Scroll down and select the ‘Assistant Response Message’
- To test whether it works, click ‘Test action’. This will post the tweet on Twitter. After successful testing, finalize the workflow name and hit ‘Publish’. Your automated Tweet generator is now up and running!
