Through its recent integration of the Metaplex Protocol, NFT marketplace Rarible will now support the trading of Solana NFTs on its platform.
The integration sees Rarible join the likes of OpenSea, Fractal, and Holaplex in leveraging Metaplexu2019s escrow-less Auction House program to create new avenues of Web3-centric impressions for users and creators.
In doing so, Solana also becomes the sixth blockchain to be supported by the platform, behind Ethereum, Flow, Polygon, Tezos, and Immutable X.
To celebrate the onboarding of the blockchain and its unique combination of proof-of-history and proof-of-stake consensus mechanisms, Solana NFTs will be able to be traded on the platform with zero gas fees. Such promotion will last one month, with users than having to pay Raribleu2019s recently-reduced 1% charge once it ends.
