Goblintown.wtf is a 10k generative 2D PFP collection of ugly goblin NFTs residing on the Ethereum network. It was created as a meme depicting how traders felt near the beginning of the NFT bear market, beginning its mint phase on May 21st, 2022.

Why Goblintown.wtf is our NFT of the Week
Goblintown.wtf makes its way as the NFT of the week for the second time, which is a first in WGMI Studio’s history. Goblintown.wtf was previously recommended as our project of the week and as a good buy around the 1.5 ETH range about two weeks back. Since then, the collection saw its floor price rise as high as 6.45 ETH during its peak, and later the collection floor price fell to as low as 2.7 ETH.
The NFT and cryptocurrency markets have recently experienced losing a great deal of their market cap and trading volume, but this hasn’t stopped the goblintown.wtf collection from outperforming every other NFT collection on OpenSea in sales volume for the past two weeks straight.
Most recently, the goblintown team did the unexpected and decided to self-dox and share information about themselves publicly. The information surrounding the team and their latest announcement information is provided below.
TL;DR: Every time the market conditions are at their worst, this free-to-mint degen NFT collection with zero utility seems to perform at its best.

Goblin.wtf’s Latest Team Info
The goblintown.wtf team recently decided self-doxx themselves, and they were unveiled to be the same creators behind the Illuminati Collective, and the 187 collections on OpenSea called Truth Labs.
In a recent tweet, they released a 4-minute video explaining they could no longer keep their identities secret in good conscience due to the overwhelming support the project had received.
The video outlines the team’s plan to release merch, IRL events, and more. The team also affirmed there will still not be any roadmap, utility, or an official Discord community in the future.
The team also mentioned what they would be doing with the 1,000 goblins in reserve and explained they would be given to the Illuminati Collective. Fifty will be reserved for the team and the Illuminati DAO. The remaining 900 goblins will be raffled to community members who didn’t mint during goblintown’s official launch.
The video concludes with details surrounding gobintown’s involvement at NFT NYC from June 20-23. The location of the goblin party during the NFT NYC event will be tweeted five minutes before the party’s start. Marketing / Community
Goblintown.wtf is a generative 2-D avatar collection of ugly low-brow goblin characters. The marketing for this project has been fairly simple but highly effective – build a fun online community around a highly infectious meme that capitalizes on the market sentiment.
You can regularly catch the Goblintown team hanging with your favorite influencer on Twitter Spaces, making an assortment of fart noises and other goblin sounds. Even our friend @kmoney joined in on the fun in a Twitter Space that saw around 30,000 people and loads of other influencers tuning in to the event. The team has done a great job of delivering this product to the people, and some can argue that this project could have done just as well during a bull market due to the team’s mastery of MEMEs as well as their ability to create new trends in the NFT space.
Community
The Goblintown community continues to grow and rally around this “high-effort art” and silly goblin humor. This IP is ready to build a brand around these characters and as creepy as they may seem, this collection has garnered a lot of fan support, with many praising the art style and sporting these Goblins as their PFPs on Twitter and Discord. After the team’s recent decision to doxx, the collection floor price looked like it may be negatively affected, but from the 10k supply, less than 8% is listed for sale on OS at writing.

Pixelverse Poops
Pixelverse Poops is a collection that is a release from the pieceofshit.wtf team, who are also responsible for successful degen MEME projects such as the ShitBeast and the ‘ill poop it’ collections.
The collections from the Piece of Shit Deployer have been all the rage over the past weeks, as it came with shit loads of utility that people weren’t expecting. Everything started with the first ‘ill poop it‘ collection: a free mint project without any roadmap nor a Discord server.
The first unexpected utility came from their second release called ShitBeast collection, where you had to burn two ill poop it NFTs in exchange for a ShitBeast + 5 billion $SHIT tokens. Those who minted a ShitBeast using two poops received a free ShitPlunger airdrop which could be burned in exchange for a Pixelverse Poop, a metaverse compatible piece of shit, to be exact. Anyone who owned an OG ‘ill poop it’ NFT can create a Pixelverse Poop by using/burning their plunger to “smash their poop” through their interactive website.
You were able to use a maximum of 5 ShitPlungers on 1 OG poop, which will get you five Pixelverse Poops in return. These Pixelverse Poops are metaverse compatible and will be usable in the PieceofShit metaverse (still in development). The floor price of this collection has been trading around the 0.3 ETH range over the past 24 hours.

No ShitZone (Shit Cleaner)
The No ShitZone Collection is the latest collection to be released by the PieceofShit team, now responsible for ill poop it, ShitBeast, ShitPlungers, Pixelverse Poops, and now this. The mint price for the No ShitZone is free for those who minted more than 1 ShitBeast, as each ShitBeast gave the ability to claim $5 billion shit tokens each.
In other words, this was another genius PieceofShit project which helped keep the PieceofShit ecosystem deflationary, with multiple uses for both the tokens and the NFTs. It is notable that the PieceofShit team has been experimenting with new ideas and providing value to its holders by using creative and never before seen means.
For now, there is very little information regarding the Shit Cleaners, but according to the hints by their team on Twitter, the ShitBeasts may be able to transform into a human-like form (perhaps elf PFPs) by using a Shit Cleaner.
The PieceofShit community on Twitter is extremely excited for what’s to come in a time where there is currently a lack of exciting new projects.

End of Sartoshi
‘End of Sartoshi’ is the latest collection to be released by the artist, @sartoshi_nft, the same artist behind the MFers collection. The MFers 10k collection was the first collection to be released by @sartoshi_nft as the artist, and it has a floor price of more than 1.34 ETH at writing.
‘End of Sartoshi’ was minted on Foundation on June 9th, and it was sold as an open edition available for anyone without any mint limits or restrictions.
The ‘End of Sartoshi’ ended up with a supply count of 16,998 NFTs, and the floor price sits at 0.023 ETH.
This is said to be the last project released by Sartoshi, as the name for the collection suggests. Sartoshi has since deleted its Twitter account and passed the mfers contract to the mfers community.
Some have spoken out to say that this is a classic rug-pull, while others praised Sartoshi and his epic departure as the meme king, leaving the NFT community with his epic final performance.
