NFT of the Week: The Saudis
The Saudis is a MEME-based free-to-mint NFT collection of 5,555 pixelated Saudis that grants holders access to exclusive channels on their Discord server as well as the “sheik” status/role. They currently have more than 112.4k members on their Discord server and more than 113.1k Twitter followers which is an incredible number for any project, let alone a free-to-mint one. One thing The Saudis project is doing that’s different from many other MEME-based projects out there is the fact that they have their own Discord server, and they are trying to create an actual community of their own.

Why The Saudis is our NFT of the Week
The Saudis is the number one trending project on OS this week when looking at the total sales volume. Due to the success of ‘The Saudis’ collection, it brought about at least five other derivative projects which tried to follow in its footsteps: The 2D Saudis, Baby Saudis, babysaudis (another collection but without a space in between), Bored Saudis, and even Bored Ape Saudis. As you may have probably guessed, all of those aforementioned ‘Saudis’ projects including the original are purely MEME-based and don’t come with any utility or even a future roadmap so it is important to remember to always DYOR before investing. The Saudis (original) collection floor price hit a price of 1.2 ETH during its peak less than 24 hours after it was first released, but the floor price has since then stabilized and has been trading around 0.7 ETH for the past two days. The current floor price of The Saudis sits at 0.79 ETH at writing which makes it the clear winner when it comes to the highest valued free mint project to launch this week.

The Saudis have an extremely simple yet effective strategy when it comes to marketing. The main goal of the project is to fulfill the world’s fantasy of becoming a wealthy sheik.
This is accomplished through various tweets sharing photos of random Saudi people on the internet wearing a traditional headdress, firing their rifles, riding their camels, and living like princes. Oftentimes, real photos are photoshopped using pixelated ‘The Saudis’ NFT as overlays. In one example, you can find the CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, wearing a traditional Saudi headdress and smiling as if he’s proud to be a Saudi member (which he is not).
As stupid or rudimentary as this may seem to people peering in from the outside, The Saudis team has proven themselves to be marketing masters who are able to read the flow of the NFT space. They seem to know what investors are looking for, and this becomes more apparent when looking at their number of followers and trade volume for their collection.
When looking into The Saudis community Discord it is apparent that this is a full-fledged degen MEME project with no meaningful conversations that could be found.
Roadmap
As mentioned previously, The Saudis team is very forthcoming when it comes to their future plans. In their own words, “There is no roadmap, only Allah knows what’s to come in the future.”
There have been hints and speculation in The Saudis discord server about an airdrop that will be sent to everyone who owns and holds The Saudis NFT, but specific details surrounding the snapshot date or the date of the airdrop is still yet to be disclosed at this time.

The Saudis project has been doing an exceptional job when it comes to marketing themselves and what their project is about. All of the team members of The Saudis project are completely anonymous, and no information about any members or their individual roles is available at this time. The Saudis team is not shy when it comes to advertising that they are merely a MEME-based project without any utility and their existence is purely based on entertainment purposes and nothing else.

Theirsverse Official
Theirsverse is a collection of 5,500 membership-based NFTs founded by a group of young artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and gender identities. Theirsverse is a “Gen-Z” brand with the goal of connecting Web2 technology with Web3, and the team intends to build its own “Youth Forum” in the metaverse. ‘Theirsverse’ is the compounding of the word “Theirs: and “universe”, implying that the universe is not simply “he him his” or “she her hers”. The word “theirs” represents a community that can open up their heart to new identities and multiculturalism. That’s what Theirsverse believes in – “We humans are more similar than we are different.”
Some of the utilities that will come along with owning a Theirsverse NFT will include early access to NFT airdrops, access to Theirsverse physical products, early access to IRL events, virtual singer concerts, music NFT drops, early access to artworks by young artists, and the ability to join and co-build in the Theirsverse Youth Forum and Social Metaverse in the future.
The mint price of Theirsverse NFTs was 0.15 ETH for whitelisted members, and 0.18 ETH was the public mint price. The collection floor price sits at 0.34 ETH at writing which is exceeding the expectations as the free-to-mint meta has been the current trend for the past couple of months. The Theirverse collection has seen more than 446 ETH of trade volume since its launch less than 24 hours ago, and its floor price has been steadily increasing.

Project 0xD38
Project 0xD38 is a free-to-mint collection of 10k NFTs based on the lore of genetic experimentation. “After a global catastrophe, all animals went extinct. The remnants of humanity are trying to revive the animal world. But does everyone have such a goal in mind?”.
Project 0xD38 is one of the NFTs projects that is purposefully shrouded in mystery in order to generate hype and speculation. Project 0xD38 was a relatively unknown project which launched on July 9th, but Pranksy, one of the most well-known NFT collectors tweeted, “What is Project 0xD38 and why do I have loads of them?” Once that tweet occurred, the floor price of Project 0xD38 shot up and reached a high of 0.18 ETH during its peak.
Each of the 10k NFTs started an egg that was in the process of incubation. The reveal phase for the Project 0xD38 collection was scheduled to occur earlier today at 6:00 pm UTC, but instead of revealing as promised, the NFTs changed to either a Phase II or Phase III NFT the community was told to prepare for the next phase. This ultimately ended up creating FUD for this project as people began to question what it is that they actually bought and they still have no idea. The current floor price of the Project 0xD38 collection is sitting at 0.1 ETH as the community awaits the team to announce more details surrounding the project.

WZRDS
WZRDS is a free-to-mint 10k collection of hand-illustrated degenerate wizard NFTs. This degen project without a Discord server. WZRDS is a story-based project with the roadmap still yet to be released. The collection had metadata issues and the collection wasn’t displaying properly during its launch, but that problem has since been fixed.
WZRDS has been at the center of controversy the past few days and is under the scrutiny of the NFT community. This is due to their latest innovation of allowing WZRD NFTs to be staked in exchange for $SHROOMS. Once staked, however, the original WZRDS NFT essentially gets burned and in exchange, holders would receive a “Half-Skull of WZRD” NFT which is an ERC-1155 and part of a different NFT collection altogether. This burn mechanism has resulted in an artificial supply shock, allowing WZRDS to skyrocket from a floor price of 0.15 ETH to 3.1 ETH in just 24 hours
Many victims of the token burn believe their IP rights and their initial NFTs were stolen, and they complained that the team purposefully misled investors with their cryptic tweets. There have been talks of legal action that will be taken against the WZRDS team regarding this matter, and community members have been communicating on Twitter in preparation for a class-action lawsuit.

What is Metakami?
Metakami is a community and manga driven anime NFT project with a “choose your own adventure” story. The initial drop will be an anime-inspired avatar collection where every character is represented by an endangered animal.
The NFT art concept behind Metakami along with its narrative utilizes endangered animals that face extinction. The Metakami team is committed to promoting animal preservation through partnerships with animal conservation organizations, and the team has promised that 5% of all royalties and donations of up to $100,000 will be made to support their cause to support endangered animals.
Story / Background
“The year is 3022 in Tokyo Japan. The natural world as we know it is no more as technology’s recreation of the natural world yields a simulated sky where the sun, moon and stars are “projected” on a time schedule. All pets and wildlife no longer exist in the world and instead, there are only holographic replacements to mask the fate of total extinction.
Since 1984, the Nakuauchi family began to form a legacy of scientists who continued to pass down their fundamental concern for the deterioration of society as the world grew barren and desolate. In an attempt to salvage the ecosystem, the Nakauchi family attempted to biologically reengineer plants and animals from their secret underground laboratories.
Centuries have passed and many of the experiments have been unfruitful. The world is now 3022 and only a single lab and the last surviving Nakauchi remains. With the same dreams and aspirations as her family of predecessors have had, Nakauchi works tirelessly, experimenting with thousands of animal DNA samples that have collected.
Suddenly, a divine entity by the name of Amaterasu appeared in front of Nakauchi, granting her a vision of the impending duoom of her world. The divine entity, Nakauchi disappears, but a magical book remains on Nakuachi’s desk which upon touching, begins to light up in her hand, firing thin electrical charges with iridescent blue lines flowing steadily from it.”
Utility
All METAKAMI NFTs serve as passes to the KAMILAB, where members can vote on the strategic and creative direction of The METAKAMI Manga. Inside the KAMILAB, members become authors. They will be able to vote along with the rest of the community on the Manga’s chapter title, plot, ending, main characters, cover, art, and more. Every NFT gets a vote, but some more than others based on the NFT’s level of rarity.

Metakami’s stacked team should have no problem bringing their dream of launching their own manga into reality. The team has decades of combined experience working for major corporations such as Riot Games, Disney, Nike, Toyota, Lego, Redbull, and others. Many other anime-meta projects attempt to become a jack of all trades and dabble on one too many features (i.e. merch, metaverse, p2e game, etc) without a clear focus. This is where Metakami seems to excel as they are very clear with their vision and what they are hoping to accomplish.

The Metakami project is still under development, so certain parts of their website, as well as their roadmap, have not yet been finalized. Looking at their Discord, there are many questions about the roadmap from other community members as it is a very important factor when determining whether or not to invest in an NFT project.
It will be extremely important for the Metakami team to release a whitepaper/roadmap that is well received by the community that has a clear vision and focus. Their official roadmap will be a good indicator of what the project is trying to do. Whether they are trying to be a quick cash grab by pretending to be something they’re not (i.e. creating a playable game or a metaverse, creating trading tools, alpha channels, etc.) or if they are a team that knows what they want and what they need to do in order to accomplish their goals.

What is Project Suisei?
Project Suisei is a collection of 9,999 anime-style PFPs inspired by “Ready Player One” and “Genshin Impact”. Suisei will be a project that will focus on three main elements which include utility, art, and even a gaming metaverse in the future.
The Suisei team believes that in order for the metaverse to become mainstream, it must be high quality, stunning, yet simple enough for the mass to easily onboard. One of Suisei’s main goals is to not simply create a game, but rather an exclusive social platform where everyone could become their true selves in the form they have always dreamed of.
Players and developers will also be able to access Suisei’s developer platform to help the project from the ground up. Holders will be able to claim full copyright and ownership of them through NFT and the blockchain and they will be able to help build a metaverse with each other where everyone can be or do anything they desire. As the metaverse grows, staking will be come introduced along with many profitable utilities.
According to an “official leak” by the team, characters in Suisei will be able to suit up according to users’ preferences and jobs in the future, and the possibilities are limitless as more builders and designers join the ecosystem. It ranges from casual clothes to new weapon designs and functions and more information will be shared in the future.
Looking at Suisei’s Twitter page and Discord server, the project is lore and community-focused. The team has been consistently and methodically creating hype and FOMO using lore, sneak peeks, and hints of future utility. They have received a lot of engagement on Twitter, and they have been extremely active with various community events such as AMAs, whitelist giveaways, daily games, and Discord talent shows.

Project Suisei is currently one of the most hyped and upcoming NFT projects at this time thanks to the marketing prowess of its team. This is apparent when looking at the number of engagements on their Twitter posts, as well as the number of followers they currently have (118.8k followers at writing). There is no question that the community is hungry to mint a Suisei NFT, and this collection is likely to sell out without much difficulty.
Reservations
The mint price of Project Suisei is still yet to be determined, and it will be an important factor when deciding the potential risk vs. reward for investors. The current NFT market is rampant with free-to-mint projects which happens to be the “new meta”. OperationSIN
What is OperationSIN?
NFTLlama, the founder of Llamaverse which is one of the NFT industry’s leading influencers recently revealed his latest upcoming project called, OperationSIN. NFTLlama, a well-known figure is also the founder of Llamalabs, the team responsible for other successful NFT projects such as Llamaverse, Llamascape, WhitelistPing, and SpitBuddies to name a few.
Marketing
OperationSIN has been excellent in its marketing efforts. By using a combination of sneak peeks, and mysterious riddles (such as binary code messaging), they were able to create an incredible amount of engagement on their posts while handpicking their most loyal followers. On June 4th, a tweet from operationSIN suggested that holders will receive a Manga-style PFP for “prototype 002” which was incredibly effective in generating FOMO and hype for this soon-to-be-released project. Llama also changed his official Twitter profile picture to operationSIN artwork. He has confirmed that there will be no “WL raffles” but instead he is building an invite-only community that strives to be “a network” of its own.
Roadmap
Much of the information behind operationSIN is purposefully left shrouded in mystery. The project has been drip-feeding information extremely slowly and methodically and the roadmap is still yet to be publicly released at this time. The few hints we have received involves Protoype 002 which is likely to be a separate collection that will be using manga-style art for phase 2.

Just looking at the amount of engagement and hype that is building for operationSIN, it is likely that this project will do well at least for the short term, and it will likely become a great flipping opportunity for investors who are able to get on the whitelist.

OperationSIN has yet to disclose the mint details surrounding the mint price or supply count for this collection. The final mint price will be a great factor in determining whether this project is just another cash grab, or if the team has visions to grow this project and community from the ground up. There have been too many instances of extremely hyped NFT projects eventually turning out to be cash grabs with unreasonably high mint prices. Some examples of such projects that come to mind include Project PXN and Shinsekai which are currently well below their initial mint price, and they coincidentally happen to be anime-style projects.
