In order to launch NFTs alongside its upcoming virtual concert, entertainment website Wave is consulting the expertise of music NFT platform OneOf.
The concert in question is entitled ‘Dimensions VOL.2’. As its name suggests, is the second instalment of a virtual concert series featuring electronic artist and producer Teflon Sega. The concert will take place on the Wave website at 6PM PT on May 12th, where the 3D digital avatar of Teflon will take to the virtual stage to perform a number of hits. In an effort to encapsulate immersive qualities of the technology on offer, fans will be able to interact with Teflon and shape the direction of the show through ‘virtual expressions’, as well as engage with live chat function, and attend a special Q&A after the show.
The NFT element of the gig comes into play when the event commences, as when Teflon makes his way to the virtual stage, a series of ‘Commemorative Concert Posters’ will drop in the form of NFTs on the OneOf platform. Here, all of those who registered for the event will be able to mint one for free.
Wave has become a major player within the space after having streamed immersive live performances by the likes of Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, John Legend and more.
Speaking of John Legend, he and other iconic musicians such as Quincy Jones are backers of the OneOf NFT music platform, helping it release NFT offerings with video, music and still images from the likes of Doja Cat, The Game, ThankYouX and G-Easy.
