The assortment of mischievous cartoons in the ‘Looney Tunes’ crew are making their way onto the blockchain via a PFP NFT series called ‘What’s Up Block?’ (which, if you didn’t know, is a spin on Bugs Bunny’s famous ‘What’s Up Doc?’ expression).
The ever-adorable Tweety Pie will be the first of the characters to receive an NFT edition.
The 10,000 Tweety Pie NFTs will each be a unique PFP-style image with an array of different traits such as feather colour, background, hat, glasses, and other props. They will launch on Nifty’s NFT platform on June 21st, with 10,000 on offer for a (blind) mint price of $80. The reveal date for the assets will be on June 23rd.
Holders who own a rare, epic, or legendary ‘Tweety Space Jam’ NFT, or alternatively, a Monstars NFT (which are all from Warner Bros’ previous ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ NFT project), will be able to gain presale access to the mint on June 20th. The all-important snapshot will take place on June 15th, meaning there is still time to pick-up one of these assets.
As expected, collections based on the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and co. will be rolled out in sometime in the near future.
Away from the art itself, the ‘What’s Up Block?’ project will also be embodied by a timeline of playful and humorous antics, which will unfold over the course of multiple years. Here, NFT collectors will have the ability to participate in activities and games (both digitally and IRL), and will also be able to earn rewards such as tickets to virtual meet and greets, exclusive never-before-been-seen content, special access, and offers to Looney Tunes merchandise and new NFT drops.
