Gary Vee’s VeeFriends NFT project has partnered with the world’s most popular Scotch Whiskey brand, Johnnie Walker, as well as its parent company, DIAGEO.
For the time being, the partnership will be of special interest of those who hold one of the 555 ‘Gift Goats’ NFTs, as one of their six annual ‘gifts’ will be a limited edition bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue. Each bottle will also come with VeeFriends logo and Gift Goat character printed on it, as well as a unique number from 1 to 555.
‘Gift Goat’ holders won’t be the only ones from the 268 character-deep VeeFriends community to benefit from the partnership, as all those who attend the upcoming NFT-gated VeeCon will be able to partake in a special Johnnie Walker ‘activation’.
The partnership, which was secured by VaynerNFT, the NFT arm of Gary Vee’s VaynerX creative and media agency, is said to be one of the many avenues in which DIAGEO is pursuing as part of its larger Web3 effort. The company’s bullishness for the blockchain came after it identified the new tech as a productive tool for enhancing the way in which its customers can enjoy both rare spirits and real-life experiences.
