The Sandbox Hires BrandShield to Help Against Online Attacks

Iconic metaverse project, The Sandbox, hires BrandShield to help against online attacks.

Metaverse powerhouse, The Sandbox, has employed BrandShield, a software company that detects and prevents online threats to assist the firm in the battle against NFT fraud.

The Sandbox utilizes multiple avenues to enable users to earn $SAND through its platform. The selling of Voxel assets, creating monetized land events, and renting out your plot, have all brought an unprecedented amount of success and attention to the platform. However, as The Sandbox continues to grow in popularity, the company has opted to take precautions to protect both its users and developers.

We are proud to announce our partnership with @TheSandboxGame, a decentralized #gaming world and subsidiary of @animocabrands. With over 3M users trading with 500,000 #crypto wallets, player safety is no small feat.

“In the open metaverse, users should be able to enjoy their true digital ownership rights and have new ways to create, store, and trade value while having fun rather than having to worry about online threats,” stated Sebastien Borget, the COO of The Sandbox. “With its ability to monitor and protect against these attacks, BrandShield is a strategic partner to help identify faster and take down phishing attacks and various online threats from brand impersonators and bad actors.”

While web3 is new for most of web2, BrandShield has extensive experience operating within the space. The company focuses on protecting and securing projects and its investors from all angles by detecting and analyzing various threats relating to crypto wallets, websites, NFT marketplaces, and social media accounts. Just between March and April, the company has neutralized 58 social media impersonations, and 120 phishing sites, keeping The Sandbox safe and secure.
