In the lead up to its highly anticipated fourth season, Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ is teasing the launch of its own NFT collection. To facilitate the launch, the industry leading streaming platform is consulting the Web3 expertise of NFT platform Candy Digital.
As of now, the entirety of insight into the collection lies within a newly launched website entitled ‘iamhellsmaster,’ which hosts a digital clock that is counting down to 1AM BST on April 30th.
Upon entering the on-brand, sci-fi themed website, visitors are dealt a message which reads: “Congrats for uncovering the clues and joining Stranger Things’ interactive curiosity voyage, brought to you by Candy Digital and Netflix”.
After reading the message, visitors can choose to sign up to the project’s email list. A Reddit user who has embarked on such journey has since shared a screen grab of what an email from the project looks like, where within it, includes the following description: “immerse yourself in the mystery by decoding messages, solving puzzles, and even collecting awards along the way”.
Although a two-part release of the fourth series over the summer months has been categorically promised to fans, it is still unclear as to what the significance of April 30th is and when the NFTs will actually drop. In acknowledging such ambiguity, Netflix have told its email subscribers to follow all of the Stranger Things social media accounts, in order to receive ‘curious’ information updates in the future.
