META MONDAY
The weekend was dominated by revelations and discussion surrounding the FTX saga. Despite mainstream scrutiny and crypto skepticism being at an all-time high, the space continues to build and evolve. We’re here to make sure you don’t miss it.
Here’s what we’ll be covering:
- Yuga Labs acquires 10KTF (and welcomes Beeple to the team)
- Gary Vee announces the location of the physical Flyfish Club (his NFT restaurant)
- Rarity League is launching an NFL-licensed NFT collection
- LinksDAO is launching a free NFT collection tomorrow
Yuga Labs Acquires 10KTF

Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club, has acquired WENEW. WENEW is the company responsible for bringing the NFT collection, 10KTF, to life.
The acquisition means 30 WENEW employees will join Yuga Labs. Beeple will also be joining Yuga as an advisor.
What is 10KTF?
10KTF is a storytelling NFT project about Wagmi-San and his 10k True Friends.
Equipped with a 10KTF digital wearable, you can now complete missions in battle.town. For completing missions you can earn a variety of rewards including $APE.
The exact details of how 10KTF will be integrated into the Yuga ecosystem are unclear. It seems likely that 10KTF’s “battle.town” will be a part of the Otherside metaverse.
It also reveals that Yuga is doubling down on storytelling and digital wearables as a key element of its metaverse.
Gary Vee Announces Location of Flyfish Club

You’d be forgiven for completely forgetting what happened in January 2022. Intoxicated by liquidity, 10k PFP collections were selling like hotcakes, and every business model was ripe for disruption by NFTs.
During this madness, Gary Vaynerchuk announced he would be opening the world’s first NFT restaurant called the Flyfish Club.
It would be a member-only restaurant, and you would need a Flyfish Club NFT to get in (you still need to pay for the food when you’re there). The project minted out and raised $14 million in one week.
Fast forward ten months and the project has finally secured a location for the restaurant. 141 E Houston St in New York City.
The building was designed by architect Roger Ferris, and includes more than 11,000 square feet of space over three levels.
The news went down a treat. The floor price is up 20% from this time last week at 3.6 ETH at the time of writing.
Rarity League Launches NFL-Licensed NFT Collection

LinksDAO Announces Free PFP Collection

LinksDAO is an NFT/DAO project with the ambition of buying a golf club for its members. There are 9,090 NFTs in the collection and is currently sitting at a floor price of 0.4 ETH.
The project recently announced it will be launching a free PFP collection, Links Champions.
In terms of utility for the Champions, the LinksDAO team says they live by the motto “underpromise and overdeliver”. I guess that means they don’t have a plan yet. At a minimum, holders will be given access to the LinksDAO community at a much cheaper entry level.
The mint starts on Nov 15 for holders, Nov 16 for friends and family, Nov 17 for the public allowlist, and Nov 18 for the general public.
If you’re a golf fan, it might just be worth checking out.
