Linktree, the platform which allows creators to aggregate all of their social media links onto one page, has launched new NFT-oriented features.
The new features include:
- An NFT Gallery which allows creators to showcase the NFTs they own,
- NFT profile pictures and background images, and
- ‘NFT Locks,’ which is essentially an NFT-gating mechanism that allows creators to ‘lock’ exclusive content which can only be accessed by people who own a specific NFT. Verification for all the NFTs involved in such features will come through OpenSea and MetaMask.
The platform has also added a function which allows creators to add an interactive link to NFT collections on OpenSea. When visitors hover of the link, a preview of the collection’s page on the NFT marketplace is generated.
As many will already know, the decision to add Web3 elements to the platform makes intuitive sense, as its complementary sites Instagram and Facebook are also actively experimenting with integrating the digital asset into their ecosystems.
