Seychelles-based cryptocurrency trading platform KuCoin has launched a $100 million ‘Creators Fund,’ which has been made through a joint venture between the exchange’s venture capital arm ‘KuCoin Ventures,’ and Windvane – a prominent partner of the exchange which helped launch KuCoin’s complementary Windvane NFT Marketplace.
As its name suggests, the fund will be dedicated to NFT creation projects, with the company stating in a press release that it will primarily focus on ‘early stage’ NFT projects within the realms of art, sports, profile pictures (PFPs), Asian culture, celebrities and GameFi.
The fund will also see 99 NFT creators invited to join the KuCoin-powered Windvane marketplace, a virtual space which helps creators build initial NFT offerings by providing tools surrounding the minting, trading and storing of NFTs on popular blockchains such as Ethereum, BSC and Flow.
