Get More Followers On Twitter With This AI Tool

January 17, 2023

If one of your New Year Resolutions was to get more followers on Twitter, you’re going to want to read this article.

Using two simple (yet powerful) methods described in this article, Artificial Intelligence tools can help you multiply your engagement and bump your Tweets to the top of the Home Feed.

Brief article summary

  • Merlin is an AI tool that allows you to use ChatGPT directly on Twitter.
  • Merlin helps you write thousands of high-quality responses to any Tweet/comment in a fraction of the time.
  • Grow your Twitter following by saving hundreds of hours replying to Tweets with this powerful AI tool.

What is Merlin?

Merlin is a Chrome extension that enables you to use ChatGPT directly on Twitter (or anywhere else you search and write online), rather than having to go to the ChatGPT website.

When completing a high volume of small, mundane tasks like replying to comments, this productivity hack can save you hundreds of hours every year.

Here are two ways you can use Merlin to supercharge your growth on Twitter.

Method 1: Use Merlin to respond to every single comment

Responding to your comments on Twitter can help build a relationship with your audience by demonstrating that you are interested in their thoughts and feedback. It helps build a sense of community around your account and encourages others to engage with your content.

Importantly, the Twitter algorithm loves engaging content. When you create content that is generating discussion, Twitter rewards you by shoving you to the top of the Home Feed.

The only problem? It’s time-consuming. Until Merlin, that is.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to using Merlin to write thousands of quality responses in a fraction of the time.

Step 1: Download the Merlin extension

It’s as simple as it sounds. Just visit their website and follow the instructions.

Step 2: Select the comment you want to reply to

Open up the replies to your Tweets. Select the comment you would like to reply to.

Step 3: Use the Merlin command

The default command is (⌘+M) on Mac.

Step 4: Give Merlin an appropriate prompt

Ask Merlin to generate a response using prompts such as:

  • “Write a witty response”
  • “Write an insightful response”
  • “Write a 5-word reply”
Step 5: Rinse and repeat for every single comment on your Tweets

By drastically reducing the time it takes to draft high-quality responses, you can respond to every single comment on your Tweet in a fraction of the time.

Method 2: Use Merlin to reply to the top Twitter accounts

When you’re first starting out on Twitter, you will get much more exposure by replying to big accounts than you will with your own posts.

The biggest problem with this strategy is the sheer amount of time it takes to respond to all the big accounts. With Merlin, we can massively reduce the time it takes to craft these responses. Here’s how:

Step 1: Set notifications on for all the biggest accounts in your specific niche

Make sure you have notifications on for every single one of the biggest accounts in your niche. Your mission is to write responses to all of their Tweets.

Step 2: Use Merlin to write responses

Use Merlin (as described in Method 1) to generate appropriate responses. If the tweet you are responding to is light-hearted, then use the prompt “write a witty response”. If it is a serious tweet about a controversial topic, use the prompt “write a considerate response”. If you have strong opinions on a particular topic, let Merlin know in your prompts to create a response that really reflects your voice.

Closing thoughts

Merlin allows us to semi-automate a small, but important task. By saving us the time and brain energy it takes to think of quality responses, we can focus our efforts on the more strategic (and fun) aspects of building a brand online.
