‘A God Amongst Men’ is an upcoming film based on Muhammad Ali’s visit to Tyneside (UK) to save a boxing gym from closure, and is launching a collection of 11 hand-drawn cartoon NFTs based on the film’s characters.
The characters within the God Amongst Men NFT collection are entitled ‘The Skidz,’ with each being based on real-life working-class kids from the boxing gym in question, ‘Shields Park Kids’. The collection’s artwork comes from a leading (but unknown) British comic book artist, with each being augmented with a production-based ‘unique physical perk,’ such as a chance to visit the set, limited edition merchandise, or attending the cast and crew screening. Once the collection sells out (with its supply count still being TBA), the rarity traits of each NFT will be revealed.
In addition to their artistic utilities, the producers of the film ‘Studio Pictures’. as well as its writer/director James Newton, both intend for the NFTs to inherently cultivate an online community behind the film, before a single frame has even been shot.
The collection is reported to launch some time towards the end of July 2022, with filming of the movie expected to be completed by the end of the year. The developer, mint site, and price for the NFTs are also TBA.
