Tom Brady’s Autograph NFT platform is teaming up with INDYCAR to launch a collection to commemorate the 106th Indianapolis 500 race.
The collection features three parts, with the first being an exclusive 2022 Indianapolis 500 Race Day NFT which is augmented with an array of additional perks. All of those who purchase a ticket for the iconic event will be able to redeem one of these NFTs (for free) from 3PM ET today.
The second element is the drop of 2022 Mystery Driver Container NFTs. This sub-collection features all 33 drivers of the race where, upon a blind purchase, owners will be a granted a distinct trading card NFT which depicts one of them. There will be 1,089 Mystery Containers available for purchase on May 23rd on DraftKings Marketplace, with the driver reveal to take place on May 27th. Once revealed, owners can continue trading and collecting their favourite drivers – and if still holding on race day on May 29th, they will also receive a commemorative piece of carbon fibre that’s from the car of the INDYCAR driver on their NFT.
The third is a one-of-a-kind, limited edition NFT which comes in the form of an intricate 3D re-creation of the car which is responsible for Team Penske’s first Indianapolis 500 victory in 1972. The launch site and date for this NFT remains TBA.
